Really just the most perfect, versatile gem of a shirtdress!

Okay so this post was a little painful for me to do as I currently am still recovering from my Palm Springs hangover. Hence my tardiness with it.

Seriously, it has been a week since we were there and I am still longing for it.

Pretty much, I had this shirt dress from Tobi on repeat regularly.

Really, it’s just perfect. The print is literally everything. I am a sucker for white & blue anything. It’s a dress, but this piece is sooooo so so versatile as a top.

In fact, on our last day in Palm Springs, I wore this shirt dress different ways! THREE. In one day.

It allllll started at the pool.

Underneath, I wore a navy bikini from Victoria’s Secret {RIP} & gladiator sandals. I LOVE wearing gladiators to the pool, especially with a, ummm, pantless? look. It really helps balance out the whole get up, don’t you think?

It was easy, breezy, took 10 seconds to put on and looked like I put in a LOT of effort in my pool look. Win.

We later hit up the Parker for brunch and vodka lemonades so I took it from the pool to the bar by pairing it with the bottoms from my favourite two piece by reformation { seen here, here, here}.

I cannot recc this set enough. Not only is the whole get-up just darling & very retro hollywood, but I get SO MUCH USE out of the pants alone!

They are ribbed & slightly flared & paired with this dress {with a blogger tuck! aka tucked in the front & untucked in the back, it gives that effortlessly cool vibe. I added some mesh silver sandals & was good to go! The material was light enough for palm springs & a great “apres pool look”.

After the Parker, we {begrudgingly} headed back to the airport. I wasn’t feeling the heels for the flight, so I wore it home with my holographic slides.

Literally, I took this outfit from the pool {& rum filled coconuts} to drinks / brunch to the airport.

Not to mention, I got so many complements… from Erik! He LOVED this top & said it was one of my favourite things I own! I’ll def be keeping this in rotation especially when I want something. 🙂

It’s listed as a dress, but I find it fits like a very long tunic. It’s a little too short for me to wear as a dress but really, the options to wear this are endless & if it fits you as a dress, go for it!

You can go casual blogger tucked into some white shorts  with some summer TOMS, or dress it up & belt it over a skirt at the waist with some fringed suede heels.

How would you wear it?

PS – some of these pictures were taken on my NEW CAMERA!!! For my birthday, Erik got me a super rad mirrorless that I am beyond stoked about. In fact, I love it more than my DSLR so I anticipate being my go to blog camera! Any tips? LMK! We are traveling again this weekend so excited to pack this baby with us!

PPS – also, I’m not sure if I publicly posted where we stayed but we got a bungalow at the Avalon Palm Springs & LOVED it. ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. HIGHLY recc if you’re looking to plan a Palm Springs getaway. We are already planning our trip back. 🙂
