THIS mascara from Japan is THE BEST DAMN MASCARA on the market… Trust Me.

I know I touched on it here, but I LOVE drugstores. Seriously, they are my favourite places to get lost in. There’s always something new to find, right?

For the longest time, my favourite pharmacy was Boots in London. Really, the makeup there is just insane – both high end & low end. The skin care options are endless, & there’s just a ton they sell there that you can’t get in the states, like the anti aging micellar water I’m using.

WELL- Boots has been dethroned from Tomod’s in Japan.

Are you familiar with Tomod’s? It’s legit the best drugstore ever. Some even have a separate cosmetics & skincare store… but MAN, is it good.

I spent more money than I’d care to admit there but the things I brought back with me were LIFECHANGING. Seriously, the skincare products I got from there are better than anything I’ve had here in the states. & I’ll be posting everything here with time!

Today though, it’s all about lashes

& I gotta say, I’m pretty stoked to share this secret with you.

Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara

{ buy here! }

I picked up the Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara  by Isehan… and if we are being blunt, I don’t know if I’ll try another mascara in my life.

It’s that good.

If long, curled lashes are your jam, this mascara is for you.

Indeed, that’s my lash jam. I actually hate volumizing mascaras. They are far too clumpy & can be pretty heavy on my lashes. I also find they weigh the lash down, so you don’t get the nice flirty curl, you know? Volume can actually be kind of faked too with a good mascara primer {i LOVE this one} or a very thin lining right on the upperwaterline.

The second you put this Long and Curl mascara on, you can see the length. I also love the formula because it is impossible {IMPOSSIBLE} to clump! It gives long defined lashes, not a gross clumpy mess. I also love that it has tiny little fibers. In fact, that’s a major THROWBACK. In 2006, one of my sephora necessities were eyelash fibers in a bottle, so I love when mascaras have these. Fun, right?

Speaking of putting it on… this is now my favourite part of my beauty routine. I can’t explain it, you just need to do it… but the way it just seamlessly glides through your lashes is just so therapeutic.

There is a little trick on putting it on – I attached the instruction visual by Isehan but here’s what you do to make sure you get it’s FULL potential:

Now one thing to note about this mascara – I’m not sure if this is a pro or a con, but it does NOT BUDGE.

To get this off, you will need some heavy duty makeup remover. I use this one from Garnier for now and it does the trick. I’m about to get this one next though. They also sell their own remover meant for this mascara.  I LOVE the idea of a mascara only remover. I feel like you can DIY one with avocado oil, castor oil, and other lash growth beneficial ingreds. I’ll get to work on this and let you know 😉

So this is great if you’re swimming, going to the gym, etc because it will NOT give you any racoon eyes or flake off at all, but it takes a little effort at night to take it off… but that said, if you need to, you know, look like you #wokeuplikethis – THIS is the mascara for you for the night before & don’t worry, it’s pillow proof 🙂 wink wink nudge nudge

Finally, it’s non-irritative. I have pretty sensitive eyes and this mascara does not make me tear up or irritate my eyes or anything.

Oh! & one more tidbit – it is cruelty free 🙂

Now that I work from home, my “uniform” is pretttttttyyyy casual. What can I say, I’m not the type to get dressed up for no reason. I change into athleisure & get on the computer. That said, one thing I do is to make sure at the very least, I have mascara on. It’s a little detail that makes me feel a bit polished vs just rolled out of bed.

As far as price, it depends where you get it. It’s about $10 USD in Japan but if you get it online, it’s about double the price with shipping, etc. That said, it’s better than ANY $20+ mascara I’ve used here in the US, & runs cheaper than mascaras you can find at Sephora… so I think it’s 100% worth it. In fact, I just ordered a new tube on Amazon Prime, that’s how much I love this mascara.

Anyways, this Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara is the best damn mascara on the PLANET. Don’t believe me? Read the reviews here & here. SO I had to share with you guys!

If you get this mascara, LET ME KNOW.  Seriously, I’m already so excited for you to try this.

Ok how about you? What’s your ride or die mascara… until you get this one, of course 😉

xx Shannon
