In my opinion, I think it is THE most underrated drugstore brand. It is majorly inexpensive, super high quality, cruelty free, & some of their products are even vegan.
As I was doing my usual Walgreens peruse, I saw these and had to get them. They just immediately piqued my interest. In fact, but Erik cannot even begin to understand why I love browsing Walgreens. He always goes in with a mission but I could spend HOURS in the drugstore, especially the beauty, skincare, and body section. I feel like there’s always new things coming out and a new discovery is just waiting to be discovered, you know? Post for another day? but one of my favourite face masks in the world is a $1.99 Walgreens brand – it’s called dead sea minerals and just phenomenal.
ANYWAYS, getting off track-
I bought two Wet ‘N’ Wild highlighters and couldn’t get home fast enough to try them out.
They come in 7 shades but I got Haloscope (an erethral iridescent pink / purple / white) & Halo, Goodbye (a shimmery pale pink that is basically the most perfect Benefit High Beam dupe). I got to tell you, I was INSTANTLY impressed.
For starters, it comes in a GLASS bottle that just feels like you are holding a luxurious product. Like. The top twists off and has a HUGE doe foot applicator. Kind of like a lip gloss applicator but about 4x the size. The photos here don’t do it justice, but the curve of the foot glides over your cheek bones.
It’s also buildable so you can make it as subtle or flashy as you want! That said, these highlighters are super pigmented & they are all shimmery with tiny flecks of glitter.
Here are some swatches. The first one is just in regular natural light, the second was in direct sunlight. Each swatch has ONE coat of the highlighter.
Y’all know I love a good holographic look and Haloscope def fits the bill! I also love to wear Haloscope alone on my eyelids or lips & top with lipgloss.
I also love to mix Haloscope with my Dusk cloud paint & put it in my cheekbones. I know this isn’t the conventional way to wear highlighter but I love the look of it. When I do this, I like to do Halo, Goodbye right on my cheekbones for a multi-dimensional holographic look.
Anyways I had to share with you guys – this is a damn good product at a damn good price and can be found at any drugstore near you or even Ulta… & if you’re by a Walgreens, lucky you! They have a Walgreens/online exclusive shade called Halo, Gorgeous which is a light baby pink shimmer!
These highlighters are infused with grapeseed oil, vitamin E, & murumuru butter so I’m loving the good for your skin ingredients too. All this for $5.99!! Obsessed.
Here’s me wearing Halo, Goodbye!
So yes, I’m hooked and ab to run to Walgreens for more & perhaps a lil browsey browse sesh.
How about you? Any drugstore finds I need to check out? Soon I’ll start doing some youtube hauls on this because I love a good drugstore browse.
Ok ttyl! xx Shannon
